- The StFX Master of Education program consists of 12 - three credit courses for a total of 36 credits. 85% of the program (10 courses) are taught online. The first two courses of the program are on campus in the month of July. All other courses in the MEd Program are offered online.
- As per Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada regulations, international students only qualify for a study permit for the length of the in-Canada portion of the program. Students are expected to complete the rest of the program outside of Canada. This program is ineligible for the post-graduation work permit.
- The StFX Master of Education degree is not a licensing degree; it does not grant a teachers’ license. If you are interested teaching in the public school system in Canada, a Bachelor of Education degree (BEd) is required.
Please note, international students admitted to the Master of Education degree program are not eligible to apply for a deferral of admission.
