Library Licenses

The StFX Library maintains subscriptions to hundreds of databases that include thousands of journal articles, newspaper articles, and eBooks. For each of these databases, the Library signs a license that grants certain permissions regarding how we can use the materials in these databases. Most databases allow you to link to material, while others also allow you to include material in course packs and post materials in Moodle.

How to Check Copying Restrictions for a Specific Journal:

1. On the Library website, select the "Search" tile.

2. Click on the "Journals" tab and enter the title of the journal from which you wish to copy in the search bar.

3. Click on the journal title you are searching for from the results list.

3. Find the Library's subscription that includes the volume you require – the allowed uses will be listed under that subscription information.
