Gerald Schwartz School of Business International Exchange Travel Bursaries
Applications are now open for study in 2020-2021
Deadline to Apply: March 1st, 2020
In the fall of 2018, the Gerald Schwartz School of Business at StFX University received a $5.3 million gift, from The Gerald Schwartz & Heather Reisman Foundation of which $4 million will be allocated to scholarships and bursaries to support business students at StFX.  The scholarship and bursary program will offer eight International Exchange Travel Bursaries of $2,000.  Students from the Gerald Schwartz School of Business applying to do an international exchange experience abroad in 2020-2021 are invited to apply.
These bursaries are based on financial need.  Completed applications and supporting documentation should be submitted with the general International Exchange Application.  International Exchange application deadlines are:  March 1st for fall and full-year exchange abroad (the following academic year) and Oct. 1st for winter semester exchange abroad only (in the same academic year).

Tanenbaum Canada-Israel Student Exchange Scholarship
Applications are now open for study in 2020-2021
Deadline to Apply: March 1st, 2020
The Tanenbaum Canada-Israel Student Exchange Scholarship allows two students from StFX to study at the Interdisciplinary Centre (IDC) Herzliya in Israel and brings two students from IDC Herzliya to study at StFX each year.  Successful candidates will each receive a $12,000 scholarship to facilitate the experience.  This scholarship/study opportunity is a way to foster the mutual understanding of the business, economic, cultural and social environments of Canadian and Israeli students.
StFX candidates should be second year students at the Schwartz School of Business, who will study at IDC Herzliya during the winter term of their third year.

Killam Undergraduate Fellowships for Canadians to study in the United States
Open Competition Only
Students from non-partner insitutions may apply to the open competition (self-placed program).  They will enroll as fee-paying visiting students at their host insitution.  The applicant is responsible for applying for permission to study abroad through their home institution, but once permission is granted, they are responsible to apply for admission directly to their chosen host institution.  Students from any degree granting institution in Canada may apply for a fellowship to attend any accredited degree granting institution in the United States.

Chinese Government Scholarship - through EduNova 
The 2019-2020 Chinese Government Scholarship is now open for applications. A total of 289 Chinese universities have been designated to enroll international students with the Chinese Government Scholarship, offering a wide variety of programs. Scholarship Program Highlights:
• Chinese cultural and language learning experience at one of 289 top Chinese universities
• Tuition wavier
• Free university dormitory or accommodation subsidy
• Stipend: up to CNY 3,500 per month (depending on the level of study)
• Comprehensive medical insurance
Eligibility for undergraduates:
• A Canadian citizen (with a valid Canadian passport) in good health
• A high school graduate under the age of 25 when applying for undergraduate programs

Canada-China Scholars Exchange Program
(Administered by the Canadian Bureau for International Education)
The China Scholarship Council is seeking applications from Canadian academics, students and professionals who wish to study or conduct research in subject areas related to China at participating Chinese institutions. Scholarships are available for studies and research, for a combination of studies and language studies or for language studies only.
The scholarship is tenable for a period of four to 12 months for students and no less than eight weeks in the case of midcareer professionals, professors and researchers.
The Canada-China Scholars' Exchange Program is based on reciprocal agreements between the Government of Canada and the Government of the People's Republic of China.
