Telephone Service Disruption Feb 9th 7am-4pm

On Saturday February 9, 2019, between 7:00AM and 4:00PM, there may be intermittent disruptions to campus telephone services due to a planned power outage in Nicholson Tower.

Service Interruption on Tuesday February 5th

IT Services will be performing required maintenance between 5:00AM and 7:30AM on Tuesday February 5th. During this time period there may be a brief disruption to network and phone services on campus.

Password Reset Reminder

Password Reset Reminder

All users were asked to change passwords in early November.  Over the next few days staff, faculty, generic (operational) and Affilaite account holders may be prompted to change your password in accordance with our 90-day password change policy.

You can change your password at mypassword.stfx.ca.  

 

When choosing a new password it must be:

BANNER AND MESAMIS - OUTAGE 5:00pm-5:30pm

There will be a brief outage this evening from 5:00PM to 5:30PM in order to make required configuration changes to Banner. During this time Banner, MesAmis, and associated systems will not be available.

UPDATED BANNER MAINTENANCE

Banner and MesAmis will be unavailable starting tomorrow, Thursday, January 17 at 5:00PM, ending Sunday, January 20 at 5:00pm. 

A second, tentative maintenance window to apply upgrades is scheduled to start Thursday, January 31 at 5:00PM, ending Sunday, February 3 at 5:00PM.

During these times, please refrain from attempting to use these systems. Thank you for your understanding.

Banner and MesAMIS Maintenance

Banner Maintenance

Over the coming weeks, Banner will require two scheduled maintenance windows in order to apply upgrades required for meeting regulatory and security requirements.  Banner and MesAmis will be unavailable starting Friday, January 18 at 5:00PM, ending Sunday, January 20 at 5:00pm.

A second, tentative maintenance window to apply upgrades is scheduled to start Friday, January 25 at 5:00PM, ending Sunday, January 27 at 5:00PM.  During these times, please refrain from attempting to use these systems. Thank you for your understanding.

 

Alonso (W: drives) Accessible

IT Services has enhanced security to Alonso (W: drives).  Files, websites and people pages hosted on Alonso are again accessible online.  Connection methods remain the same.   Instructions on accessing your w drive can be found in the knowledge base article “Using your W: drive” linked below.

Moodle Upgrade January 3rd 2019

A Moodle upgrade from version 3.1 to 3.5 is scheduled for January 3rd, 2019. The upgrade will occur overnight and may result in the website being unavailable during that time. No data (course content, student enrollment, etc.) will be affected by this minor upgrade.

Wireless access point upgrade

IT Services staff will be upgrading wireless network access points across campus over the next few weeks. If using wireless where an upgrade is taking place your wireless signal may weak or interrupted for a short period of time. Once the new access point is installed, services will be restored.

Network service interruption –Thursday July 26, 2018.

IT Services will be performing required network maintenance between 5:30 AM and 7:30 AM on Thursday July 26th. During this time period there will be disruptions to network services on campus.
