As a result of on-going work and assessment of the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Strategic Action Plan, at ST. Francis Xavier University, the following modules:
- Anti-Indigenous Racism;
- Anti-Black Racism;
- Addressing Systemic Barriers; and
- Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.
Have been developed to engage faculty, staff, and students with learning opportunities and resources, to deepen their understanding and commitment towards equity, diversity and inclusion, working in an academic research environment.
Fundamental to achieving results is the need to identify and address systemic barriers, particularly those experienced by members of underrepresented or disadvantaged groups. Advancing equity, diversity and inclusion is a shared responsibility that requires dedicated resources and strong leadership at all levels.
