The benefit of hiring a co-op student is that we are able to employ young students who have a positive and energetic outlook in problem solving and are reaching the goals that our non-profit have set for their term. What impresses me with the co-op students is the technological skills the students provide, that many employers do not have. As the Antigonish Art Far (AAF) is a non-traditional work place, we have been gifted with students who understand working with artists and artisans to create an event.

The process of hiring a co-op student at StFX was very easy and we were surprised with how easy it was to work with each co-op student.

The AAF has been blessed with the three students that arrived at our door through the St FX co-op program. They have been positive, bright, energetic and truly helpful in the growth of the fair. They come to work willing to make their work environment a success and this in turn translates into a successful event over the five fairs we organize in the summer. The quality of the students to date has been exceptional and we recommend this program to another business or non-profit organization.
